Two absolutes herald the presence of a magnificent, bold, and regal woman. The notes of ambrette combine with the power of Egyptian violet leaf, slightly leathery and energized by exuberant mandarin. Queen Makeda is proud of her adventurous spirit.
She lives life to the fullest and radiates wisdom. The sensual fragrances of iris mingle with ambrette, enlivening it, while the honeyed warmth of rose and the opulence of jasmine magnify it. A procession of noble flowers creates a trail that speaks to liberated women.
The composition exudes elegant boldness and freedom thanks to the use of premium woods: creamy sandalwood, resinous and tenacious cedar, soft and woody vanilla, and powerful musks. The base is full-bodied, rich, and enchanting, enhanced by smooth cashmeran.
"This project gave me the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of the Queen of Sheba, which I first encountered through an exhibition at the Arab World Institute. It was a world with an impressive olfactory sensibility—spices, herbs, and incense—a place we fantasize about visiting." - Anne Flipo, Master Perfumer, IFF
